Medianeras talking about modern Buenos Aires

I've got this trailer from my Dutch friend first (Hola, Lisa :P). Then my Argentine friend mentioned he'd seen the building where i live in that film (Hola, Lu :))

And i completely forgot to watch it unless my another Argentine friend brought me to Cosmos cine and made me learn something more about Buenos Aires.

Medianeras is a fresh new branded film about a modern city lifestyle on an example of Buenos Aires. First i thought it was devoted to city arquitecture which is impressive and rich. And suddenly i realized - it was about everyone who lives in a big overpopulated city, that at some point depresses and scares till hiding and closing oneself in a virtual world. Medianeras talks about everyone who is looking for something or someone among the masses but cannot meet because the city itself is an obstacle. The typical solutions like using Internet as an alternative world, doing therapy, going for superficial "fastfood" relations or even leaving life don't add optimism to the film. That is why it doesn't look like a nice easy hollywood story.

The end of the story is positive though - they found each other after going through experiences that had prepared them to be together. Bravo, Gustavo Taretto!
