Catching moments in Buenos Aires

It's been one of early November nights/mornings, when i was coming back from a boliche (night club) through Costanera at 5-6 am (quite normal for Buenos Aires).

Among the noise that couldn't stop even at such an hour i heard first accords of the song performed by a young porteño with a guitar in his hands. It took me a while to recognize a song of Maná, a Mexican artist, very beloved all across Latin America.

And from that moment all my attention was given to that beautiful song and nothing could distract me: i just got isolated from races of crazy drivers, cumbia sounds from every corner, smells of cooked choripans, images of clumsy girls on high hills and a list of complaints about Argentina coming from one Dutchy all walk long (of course it was not you, Lydia :P).

...I felt like an ancient Indian monk with aroma bags capturing the moment and a song that corresponded to my state of mind that night. Few days ago i heard it again in a busy metro of the Linea B. It was 6 pm with a rush and mess of office people, but the song took me back to the morning in Costanera and a young porteño with his guitar.

Listen to it. Isn't it beautiful?

  4. The same happened to me: I was walking near my buenos aires apartment in the neighborhood of Palermo and suddenly heard this guy that played the piano in the street but was really nice. I guess those people cannot exploit their talent earning money buut love music so they play anyways!
They are so brave to me...
